KOTRA Hosts 'Design Collaboration Fashion Mask Matching Day'
[Asia Economy Reporter Kiho Sung] On the 26th, KOTRA held the 'Design Collaboration Fashion Mask Matching Day' event at its headquarters in Yeomgok-dong, Seoul. KOTRA is helping to develop export channels for our small and medium-sized enterprises by upgrading masks, which have become essential daily necessities.
At this 'Design Collaboration' event, KOTRA invited Han Jemma, a creative director, along with well-known domestic artists with design expertise and artists with developmental disabilities. In addition, KOTRA supported eight domestic mask manufacturing companies in signing 'Art Collaboration' contracts.
The eight companies will soon showcase fashion mask products co-created with the artists both domestically and internationally. In December, they will open a business-to-consumer (B2C) pop-up store in the fashion hub of New York to tap into the global market. They also plan to conduct online export consultations with buyers from North America and Europe.
Meanwhile, besides business consultations, KOTRA investigated regional industrial trends of interest to domestic companies through its overseas trade centers. Due to difficulties in business trips caused by the recent COVID-19 pandemic, KOTRA conducted buyer interviews on behalf of Korean companies and provided on-site industrial trend insights.
