On the 26th, Byeongdeok Ahn, Vice Chairman of Kolon Group, was appointed as the CEO of Kolon Co., Ltd.

[Asia Economy Reporter So-yeon Park] Kolon Group announced on the 26th that it has conducted the 2021 regular executive appointments for a total of 36 people, including appointing Vice Chairman Byung-deok Ahn as CEO of the holding company Kolon Co., Ltd.

Kim Young-beom, Vice President and CEO of Kolon Glotech, and Lee Jung-yoon, Vice President and CEO of Green Narae, were each promoted to President, and Yook Seok-jin, CEO of Kolon Co., Ltd., moved to become CEO of Kolon Industries FnC Division, overseeing the fashion division.

Vice Chairman Byung-deok Ahn, appointed as CEO of Kolon Co., Ltd., is a suitable candidate with the experience and seniority to lead the group steadily amid the COVID-19 situation, and will also serve as chairman of the One and Only Committee, a CEO council of major group affiliates. Ahn served as CEO of the holding company from 2014 to 2017 and has been Vice Chairman of the group since 2018.

Executive Director Kyu-ho Lee, former Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Kolon Industries FnC Division, was promoted to Vice President and will lead the automotive division of Kolon Global, which handles imported car distribution and maintenance business.

Additionally, 14 new executive directors were appointed to continue innovation and change for future growth while maintaining stability.

Promotion of female executives has continued for 12 years. Su-jin Lee, the first female executive in the group's finance sector at Kolon Co., Ltd., was promoted from Executive Director to Director, continuing the annual promotion of female executives since 2010. Over the past decade, Kolon has consistently recruited more than 30% female employees through university graduate recruitment and focuses on fostering female leaders through programs such as female mentoring.
