According to Starbucks on the 26th, the Chamomile Relaxer, first introduced on the 30th of last month, has shown increasing sales over time since its launch, emerging as a dark horse among tea-based beverages.
The Chamomile Relaxer attracted attention by reaching 1 million cups sold two months faster than 'Grapefruit Honey Black Tea,' which had formed a loyal fan base as the best-selling tea-based beverage in history. Additionally, over the past week, the Chamomile Relaxer has demonstrated strong momentum by surpassing the daily average sales of Grapefruit Honey Black Tea.
Starbucks' Chamomile Relaxer was developed with the intention of comforting customers' bodies and minds who have been exhausted and weary from the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) this year, using chamomile tea known for its calming effects, along with lemongrass, rosemary, and red currant. The beverage features a sweet and tangy flavor by mixing lychee and lemon juice into chamomile tea, and is garnished with rosemary and red currant to evoke a festive year-end atmosphere.
