Goheung-gun Promotes Local Seafood Consumption with 'Dried Gim Drive-Thru' Campaign
Delivery of 30 Sheets of Dried Gim at Goheung Tollgate and Suncheon Hwangjeon Rest Area
[Goheung=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Kim Chunsu] Goheung-gun, Jeollanam-do announced on the 25th that it conducted a 'Drive thru' promotion of Goheung-produced seafood (dried laver) to stimulate consumption of local seafood, which has been depressed due to the impact of COVID-19.
The event was organized by the Goheung branch of the Korea Dried Laver Producers Association, and on the day, promotional items (30 sheets of dried laver per person) were distributed to vehicles entering the Goheung tollgate and Hwangjeon rest area in Suncheon City.
About 20 members of the Goheung branch of the Korea Dried Laver Producers Association participated in packaging and promoting dried laver harvested from the clean waters of Goheung.
Last year, Goheung-gun's dried laver production performance included 51 dried laver processing factories, with a production volume of 54,640 thousand sheets and a value of 104.594 billion KRW.
