Recently, a serious crisis situation has arisen with a rapid increase in confirmed COVID-19 cases in the neighboring city of Suncheon and confirmed cases occurring in Goheung-gun as well.
With the year-end approaching, the county is expanding inspections of compliance with quarantine rules due to increased family dining out, various events and gatherings with a high possibility of contact with unspecified many people, and many risk factors such as the increase of respiratory infectious diseases in winter.
Moreover, from 0:00 on the 24th, Jeollanam-do will raise social distancing to level 1.5, and to improve the vulnerable dining culture against infectious diseases, it plans to intensively inspect three improvement tasks including sharing food less, hygienic management of spoons and chopsticks, and mask-wearing by workers, along with quarantine measures such as distancing between tables and managing visitor logs, in accordance with social distancing level 2.
In addition, to promptly inform about the additional and expanded quarantine rules, text messages reminding restaurant owners to comply with quarantine rules will be sent frequently, and after distributing notices on the changed quarantine measures according to social distancing levels, strong administrative actions such as fines will be taken against establishments violating quarantine rules.
