After the Emergency Committee meeting held at the National Assembly on the 23rd, Chairman Kim told reporters, "There is no way to know what is accurate about the content announced by the Kimhae New Airport Verification Committee under the Prime Minister's Office, because all the people involved in the review are saying different things."
Earlier, the Verification Committee announced a final conclusion that "fundamental review is necessary" regarding the Kimhae Airport expansion plan. However, some verification committee members claim that the committee's announcement was overturned contrary to their internal conclusions, and confusion continues as it is interpreted as if the promotion of the 'Gadeokdo New Airport' is a predetermined course.
Chairman Kim also stated that the party would present real estate measures. He said, "Every time real estate measures are taken, housing prices rise. To be honest, the government admits the failure of its real estate policy, and without creating new real estate measures, success is impossible," adding, "Ahead of the Seoul mayoral by-election, we have our own real estate measures prepared. We will present our own measures."
Regarding Ahn Cheol-soo, leader of the People's Party, who repeatedly advocated for opposition party unity, Kim said, "In my view, he seems to be saying that because of his personal political thoughts," and added, "At this point, there is no need to pay much attention to that."
