YG PLUS Signs Music Distribution Deal with Tencent Music in China... "Supplying All Subsidiary Platforms"
[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunseok Yoo] YG PLUS, which operates artist music distribution, merchandise, and advertising businesses, announced on the 23rd that it has signed a music and content distribution supply contract with Tencent Music Entertainment Group (hereinafter Tencent Music), the leader in China's online music entertainment business.
Through this contract, YG PLUS will distribute music and videos on all platforms under Tencent Music. This includes major music platforms such as QQ Music, Kugou Music, Kuwo Music, and Wesing, as well as video channels like Tencent Video and Kugou Video, live channels, social networking services (SNS) such as WeChat and QQ, radio, applications, games, and all channels where music under Tencent Music is used.
The company stated, "Following last month's contract with the global music distributor FUGA, expanding into markets such as the United States and Europe including 7digital (USA), Facebook (global), TikTok (global), JioSaavn (India), and Qobuz (France), we have now entered the Chinese music market through collaboration with Tencent Music. Going forward, we will further strengthen our expertise as a music content distributor and expand global partnerships to grow into a global music content distribution company."
