"Receive Year-End Tax Settlement Guidance via KakaoTalk" Kakao Enters Public IT Infrastructure Market
[Asia Economy Reporter Buaeri] The KakaoTalk artificial intelligence (AI) chatbot is expected to be introduced in various public services such as year-end tax settlement, tax payment, and military service.
Kakao Enterprise announced on the 23rd that the "Kakao i Connect Talk AI chatbot" has passed the Digital Service Specialized Contract System review committee.
The Digital Service Specialized Contract System is a system implemented on the 5th of last month by the Ministry of Science and ICT, the Ministry of Economy and Finance, and the Public Procurement Service as part of digital government innovation. It simplifies the complex procurement procedures previously conducted through the national procurement platform, Nara Market. This system allows demand institutions to directly select and contract the services they need, enabling more flexible and faster use of digital services.
With Kakao Enterprise's full-scale entry into the public IT infrastructure market, it is expected that public institutions will be able to communicate more smoothly and quickly with citizens using KakaoTalk and chatbots.
The "Kakao i Connect Talk chatbot" combines technology that accurately understands users' questions with ease of use and convenience. It clearly grasps customer inquiries and can provide personalized services to each individual. By installing the chatbot server within the institution and linking it to KakaoTalk's AI engine, there is no need to install a separate app, making it convenient.
Currently, public institutions provide service usage methods and guidance in the form of frequently asked questions (FAQ) through KakaoTalk channels. By utilizing the "Kakao i Connect Talk AI chatbot," public institutions can offer more diverse interactive public services through the national messenger KakaoTalk.
Since processes from civil complaint reception to consultation, payment, and billing can be resolved in a one-stop manner, it can respond to customers much more conveniently beyond the existing simple notification level. Payments, tax payments, civil complaint applications, and guidance tasks can be conveniently handled via KakaoTalk, enabling public service and policy notifications.
For example, by asking KakaoTalk questions like "How do I do year-end tax settlement?" or "Tell me about comprehensive income tax filing," users can receive personalized responses such as "You are subject to comprehensive real estate tax payment" or "You must pay by 00 date" via KakaoTalk messages.
