People Power Party on Gadeokdo New Airport Controversy: "Not a Matter for Official Response"
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chun-han] On the 22nd, the People Power Party stated regarding the controversy over the 'Gadeokdo New Airport' that "this is not an issue for the official party to respond to."
At a National Assembly briefing that day, Bae Jun-young, spokesperson for the People Power Party, responded to questions about the Gadeokdo New Airport by saying, "Not a single public official has officially announced the cancellation of the Gimhae New Airport," emphasizing this point.
Spokesperson Bae noted that judging from the remarks of Kim Soo-sam, chairman of the Gimhae New Airport Verification Committee, it seems that the committee's position has not been finalized, adding, "Jumping to conclusions about whether to proceed with or cancel any airport involves two or three logical leaps."
