E-Land Group Exposed to Ransomware Attack... Half of Stores Including NC Department Store Suspend Operations
[Asia Economy Reporter Seungjin Lee] E-Land Group announced on the 22nd that it temporarily suspended operations at about half of its offline stores, including NC Department Store, due to a ransomware attack.
Ransomware is a malicious code that combines the words ransom and software, encrypting the user's computer data and demanding money in exchange for decrypting it.
According to E-Land Group, in the early hours of the day, their internal network system was attacked by ransomware, making it difficult for 23 out of about 50 stores of NC Department Store and NewCore Outlet to operate normally.
