Introduction of SME Difficulty Resolution Corporate Diagnosis System 'K-Doctor'
Jungjingong Applies Medical System Approach to Corporate Diagnosis... Stepwise Support Focused on Prevention and Treatment
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] The Ministry of SMEs and Startups (Minister Park Young-sun, hereinafter referred to as the Ministry) and the Small and Medium Business Corporation (Chairman Kim Hak-do, hereinafter referred to as SBC) announced on the 22nd that they will establish the SME Problem-Solving Enterprise Diagnosis System (hereinafter K-Doctor), applying a medical system approach focused on prevention and treatment through a complete overhaul of the enterprise diagnosis system.
K-Doctor is an enterprise diagnosis system that supports the prevention of management crises and customized solutions for companies based on the diagnostic methodologies, know-how, and big data accumulated by SBC. Depending on the situation faced by the company, it distinguishes support targets, functions, and methods, providing tailored support through five stages: non-face-to-face diagnosis, standard diagnosis, comprehensive diagnosis, emergency diagnosis, and challenge diagnosis.
The non-face-to-face diagnosis is a big data-based remote method that allows companies to perform self-diagnosis online at any time. The standard diagnosis targets companies applying for policy funds, offering simple support and customized policy project recommendations by integrating diagnosis and fund evaluation models. The comprehensive diagnosis uses company analysis models and in-depth modules to present corporate competitiveness and growth roadmaps. The emergency diagnosis provides timely linkage support for diagnosis and consulting projects targeting companies facing management difficulties such as disaster damage. The challenge diagnosis supports companies that have achieved management goals with policy projects in a package through performance management.
In particular, the non-face-to-face diagnosis is a system that provides customized management environment information based on big data through voluntary customer participation and analyzes corporate capabilities so that companies can manage themselves. SBC plans to complete development this year and start operation within the year. Through this, SMEs will be able to use diagnosis services anytime and anywhere without restrictions on location, time, or frequency, and utilize them in corporate management. It is advantageous in that diagnosis is possible even when expert on-site visits are restricted due to COVID-19 and other factors.
Additionally, next year, the challenge diagnosis will be newly introduced to strengthen the institution’s representative function of continuous corporate growth management and linked support. SBC will help SMEs achieve management goals and provide various projects in a 'relay' manner to companies that succeed in achieving their goals. To this end, specialized staff will be designated as growth management project managers (PMs) to enhance the effectiveness of policy support.
