"Shh, It's a Secret from Trump!"... US Administration Unofficially Contacts Biden
[Asia Economy Reporter Naju-seok] CNN reported on the 18th (local time) that former and current personnel from President Donald Trump's side have quietly begun support activities with personnel from President-elect Joe Biden's side.
According to CNN, personnel from the Trump administration, including those politically appointed by President Trump, have started work to support the transition of power. Although President Trump has refused to acknowledge his election defeat and reject the transition process, U.S. media report that behind the scenes, movements have begun.
The U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) has yet to recognize Biden's election victory, so official transition work has not commenced. Although the Biden transition team has been launched, so far there has been no reporting, budget support, personnel assistance, or classified information briefings from federal agencies.

An official who worked in the Trump administration said, "These attempts (contacts between former and current administration officials and Biden's side) are seen as fulfilling their duty to the country beyond partisan considerations." However, the ongoing support activities are proceeding without the specificity of official briefings. Through such contacts, Biden's team can at least confirm minimal information on issues to be addressed after inauguration.
CNN acknowledged contact between the current administration and Biden's transition team through multiple former and current officials. One official said, "There is no problem," adding, "They are offering a kind of help. They know what we can and cannot say."
Biden's transition team also acknowledged these contacts. However, they noted that the increase in contact is due to existing relationships and that it is far from a typical transition process.
