Seoul City Prioritizes 'Disabled Call Taxi' Dispatch for Disabled Examinees on College Entrance Exam Day
[Asia Economy Reporter Jo In-kyung] The Seoul Facilities Corporation announced on the 19th that it will provide a "Priority Dispatch Service for Disabled Call Taxis" for disabled test takers taking the "2021 College Scholastic Ability Test" on December 3rd.
The eligible users are test takers registered with the disabled call taxi (grade 1 and 2 physical disabilities and those with severe walking disabilities), and advance reservations can be made by phone for 10 days from the 24th until the test day, December 3rd. Applications are possible for entering the test site on the test day and returning home after the exam.
The priority dispatch service for disabled test takers, which started in 2008, was established to help test takers who need to use disabled call taxis during peak commuting hours to conveniently travel to the test site.
To promote the service to disabled test takers, the corporation plans to actively publicize by sending text messages about the priority dispatch to registered test takers in the disabled call taxi system and sending official letters to disabled organizations.
Cho Sung-il, Director of the Seoul Facilities Corporation, said, "Since this service is prepared for students with disabilities, we ask for the cooperation and understanding of other users on the test day," adding, "Even if test takers who did not make advance reservations apply for use on the test day, we plan to prioritize dispatch."
