Jangseong-gun to Restrict Traffic on the 21st for 'Jangseong Station Underpass Maintenance'
[Jangseong=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Jo Hangyu] Jangseong-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Yoo Dooseok) announced on the 18th that pedestrian traffic will be restricted on the 21st for maintenance of the Jangseong Station underpass.
The Jangseong Station underpass was newly constructed in 2006 to connect the eastern and western parts of Jangseong-eup, which are divided by the Honam Line railway.
The county installed two elevators for the disabled to improve convenience for the elderly and other vulnerable traffic users, and also improved the design of the pedestrian walkway walls, creating a pleasant and fresh atmosphere despite being an underground facility.
This underpass maintenance includes replacing consumables such as lighting fixtures, conducting environmental cleanup, and performing thorough disinfection to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
