Productivity Headquarters Launches Global On and Off Training Courses
Overseas Experts and Scholars Conduct On-site Lectures and Live Training
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheolhyun] The Korea Productivity Center (KPC, Chairman Noh Gyuseong) announced on the 18th that it will launch a 'Global On-and-Off Education' program combining online and offline methods to enhance the capabilities of current employees. The Productivity Center operates over 5,300 training courses annually and nurtures 250,000 talents, making it a leading corporate education institution in Korea. It supports individual productivity improvement through practical, work-centered employee training.
To minimize learning gaps caused by the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) and support timely learning for employees, the Productivity Center launched online live education 'KPC Live Class' and microlearning service 'KPC Gwanghwamun Class' in the first half of this year. In response to the prolonged COVID-19 situation, from October, the center has been operating courses in an 'On-and-Off' format that maintains the advantages of in-person training while improving accessibility to education.
The 'On-and-Off Education' program allows employees who wish to attend to take courses either at the Productivity Center's offline lecture halls or online (live) from any preferred location, providing a place-customized lecture. It is conducted as a real-time class reflecting the interactions that occur in face-to-face training. By applying the 'On-and-Off Education' method, all courses held at the Korea Productivity Center's Seoul lecture hall are also available online.
The newly launched 'Global On-and-Off Education' goes beyond the existing On-and-Off method by featuring courses taught by overseas experts. While maintaining the place-customized operation method for both online and offline, overseas resident experts and scholars deliver live lectures from their local sites. This is expected to meet the demand for lectures by renowned foreign scholars that have been difficult to access due to international travel restrictions and other measures.

The course enhances learners' understanding through comparative lectures on Korean and Chinese accounting systems and provides practical insights through real cases of Korean companies in China. Certified Public Accountant Kim Daehun will lead the lectures. The course runs from the 23rd to the 25th, and applications can be submitted on the Productivity Center’s website until the 20th. The Productivity Center plans to continuously expand the Global On-and-Off Education programs going forward.
