'Incheon eSports Challenge Cup' Held Online on 27-28
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Hyesook] The '2020 Incheon eSports Challenge' professional tournament 'Incheon Challenge Cup,' featuring 16 teams representing South Korea, Japan, Taiwan, and Hong Kong, will be held online on the 27th and 28th.
Hosted by Incheon City and organized by Incheon Technopark (Incheon TP), the tournament is a global eSports competition featuring professional teams of 'PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds.' A total prize of 80 million KRW will be contested by 16 professional teams (64 players), each consisting of 4 members, competing fiercely.
Ten matches will be played in total, with five matches per day, and the team with the highest score will be crowned the champion.
Representing South Korea, six domestic teams including Griffin, Gen.G, OGN Entus, VRLU Gibli, OP.GG Sports, and Ravega will participate.
From Japan, five teams will compete: Element.36, Detonation Gaming White, Sun Sister, Rascal Jester, and Sengoku Gaming.
Taiwan will be represented by four teams: Team Sades, North Wolf, Global eSports Asset, and K7 eSports, while Hong Kong will have one team, Team Carson.
