[Asia Economy Reporter Ki-min Lee] A confirmed case of COVID-19 has been reported at Samsung Electronics' Suwon campus.
On the 18th, according to Samsung Electronics, an employee working on the 18th floor of R5 A Tower at the Suwon campus tested positive for COVID-19.
R5 A Tower is primarily occupied by employees of the Wireless Business Division.
The confirmed individual underwent a COVID-19 test at a health authority facility the previous day after learning that an acquaintance had tested positive, and received the positive result early that morning.
Upon learning of the confirmed case, Samsung Electronics took measures to ensure the safety of its employees by instructing all staff working in R5 to refrain from coming to work and to stay at home.
