Community Contribution Activities Based on Learned Content...Fostering Learning Motivation and Establishing a Virtuous Cycle of Learning and Sharing...Various Activities Including Audiobook Production for the Visually Impaired and Online Kalimba and Ukulele Concerts
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Guro-gu (Mayor Lee Seong) is conducting the neighborhood learning center 'Learning-Practice Project.'
On the 18th, Guro-gu announced, "We are carrying out the 'Learning-Practice Project' to motivate the learning enthusiasm of neighborhood learning center students and establish a virtuous cycle of learning and sharing."
The neighborhood learning center is a project that provides lifelong learning programs by utilizing idle spaces within the community so that any resident can receive lifelong education within their nearby living area.
To prevent the spread of COVID-19, Guro-gu has converted the neighborhood learning centers to online operation this year. They have prepared over 40 diverse courses including culture and arts, humanities, foreign languages, and the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
This 'Learning-Practice Project' involves activities where neighborhood learning center students give back to the local community based on what they have learned.
Based on the lessons, various activities such as ▲calligraphy candle sharing ▲3D pen experience at local children's centers ▲audiobook production and uploading for the visually impaired ▲smartphone usage education for seniors ▲online Kalimba and Ukulele concerts will be conducted until the end of this month.
Participants are recruited from among existing students who wish to join the project.
Guro-gu plans to produce videos of the activities to share the learning achievements of the neighborhood learning centers and use them for project promotion.
