People Power Party Gwangju·Jeonnam Provincial Office Sale Push "Renewing Military Regime Image"
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] The People Power Party is selling the Gwangju Metropolitan City and Jeonnam Provincial Party offices. The plan is to break away from the conservative image of the Minjung Party era and approach Honam anew.
According to the People Power Party's Gwangju Metropolitan City and Jeonnam Provincial Party on the 17th, they will sell the seven-story party office in Jungheung-dong, Buk-gu, Gwangju within this year.
After the sale, the Gwangju City Party and Jeonnam Provincial Party will be separated according to regional trends, and the provincial party will establish a new base in the Jeonnam area.
The current Gwangju City and Jeonnam Provincial Party office has been used since 1987 during the Minjung Party era.
The People Power Party plans to leave the building associated with the military regime image and seek to renew its image.
The sale of the party office has been discussed for 2 to 3 years but was continuously postponed due to reasons such as securing funds, and it is known to have been promoted in line with the purchase of the People Power Party's central party office last month.
