'17 Domestic Innovative Startups Participate in Sweden Innovation Day'
K-Startup Center Officially Joins Stockholm as a Global Partner... Promoting Korea's Startup Ecosystem Worldwide
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] Promising Korean startups are participating in the world's largest artificial intelligence (AI) conference held in Sweden, meeting with global conglomerates. The Ministry of SMEs and Startups (Minister Park Young-sun) and the Korea Startup Promotion Agency (Director Kim Kwang-hyun) announced that 17 Korean startups and the K-Startup Center Stockholm will participate in the Sweden Innovation Day (hereafter Innovation Day), starting on the 17th.
Innovation Day is a three-day online AI-specialized conference attended by various innovation entities and AI specialized organizations, including global conglomerates, startups, and government agencies from nine countries. The event is co-hosted by five science, technology, and AI institutions, including the Swedish Agency for Innovation and Science, with the K-Startup Center, which opened in Stockholm this year, participating as a global partner. Last year, more than 150 global companies and over 400 startups participated, and this year, global conglomerates such as AstraZeneca, Volvo, Ericsson, IBM, and Nvidia have confirmed their participation.

In particular, on the first day, themed "Transition to Healthcare," Korean startup Lunit (CEO Seo Beom-seok) will participate and present. Lunit is an AI medical device company that has been selected for two consecutive years in CB Insights' "Digital Health 150." On the second day, conferences on various collaboration methods between AI startups and global companies, as well as matchmaking for attracting top talent, will be held. On the third day, 17 promising domestic startups, including the K-Startup Center Stockholm, will participate. Domestic startups have been pre-matched with global companies such as Pfizer, Siemens, and Scania. The K-Startup Center will represent Korea and present on startup support policies, unicorn companies, and cooperation plans to promote Korea-Sweden startup exchanges.
