Operation and Opening of Resident Priority Parking at the Attached Parking Lot of Youth Housing in Seogyo-dong, Mapo-gu
Agreement Signed with Amano Korea, the Entrusted Agency of Harrington Youth Housing, to Alleviate Resident Parking Shortage... Mapo-gu Promotes Shared Use of Affiliated Parking Lots, Opening 89 Spaces at 6 Locations in the Area This Year
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Mapo-gu (Mayor Yoo Dong-gyun) will open the attached parking lot of Seogyo-dong Youth Housing located at 72 Yanghwa-ro (395-43 Seogyo-dong) as a resident-priority parking zone for local residents.
The district signed an agreement with Amano Korea, which manages the Harrington Youth Housing in Seogyo-dong, to open the attached parking lot. For two years, 30 parking spaces in the building's attached parking lot will be operated as resident-priority parking lots throughout the day to help alleviate residents' parking difficulties.
The parking lot will be operated by the Mapo-gu Facilities Management Corporation using a resident-priority parking system, and the usage fee has been set affordably at 50,000 KRW per month based on public parking lot rates.
Additionally, the district and Seoul City will provide extra subsidies to compensate the building owner for parking operation revenue.
The Mapo-gu Facilities Management Corporation plans to select users through a resident-priority parking recruitment announcement within this month, allowing them to use the parking lot starting in December.
Meanwhile, as part of the 7th term mayoral pledge, the district is promoting a parking sharing project with residents, actively carrying out the ‘Attached Parking Lot Sharing Project’ to alleviate parking difficulties and improve parking environments.
In particular, this year, through the attached parking lot sharing project, including the newly opened Harrington Youth Housing in Seogyo-dong, a total of 6 locations with 89 parking spaces have been opened, contributing to the improvement of parking convenience for residents.
Furthermore, to open private facility attached parking lots, the district and Seoul City provide support of up to 25 million KRW, and the budget for opening attached parking lots has already been allocated for next year. The attached parking lot subsidies are provided as grants for facility improvement costs and compensation for parking operation revenue.
