This on-site inspection was arranged to visit the Hongdo branch office in Sinan County to check emergency response readiness and prevent maritime safety accidents in advance as the winter season begins in earnest.
On the day, Chief Jung Young-jin inspected the Hongdo ferry pier and ferry safety management status, and during a meeting with business operators, he urged safe navigation by prohibiting drunk driving, overloading, and overcapacity, checked the emergency response readiness of rescue forces for maritime accidents, the establishment of an emergency contact network system with related agencies, and encouraged the hard work of on-site personnel.

Chief Jung Young-jin stated, “Fire accidents can frequently occur in vessels during winter due to the use of heating devices,” and urged, “Since vessels contain many flammable materials, a manager should be designated when using heating devices, and careful attention should be paid.”
