Gyeongnam Province Supports 1.5 Billion KRW for City-County Linked Cooperation Projects
Establishment of Jinhaeman Integrated Tourism Belt, Selection of 12 Projects Including Jinju-Sacheon Metropolitan Bicycle Road Opening
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kang Sharon] Gyeongnam Province announced on the 16th that 13 projects have been selected as targets for the 'Gyeongnam-type City-County Linked Cooperation Project,' which promotes joint projects centered on living zones with adjacent cities and counties.
The 13 projects will receive 1.5 billion KRW from the provincial government and 1.5 billion KRW from the city and county governments.
The Gyeongnam-type City-County Linked Cooperation Project is a project that promotes regional joint projects centered on living zones that are geographically and culturally adjacent beyond administrative districts, including ▲establishment of a metropolitan public transportation network ▲joint management of local resources ▲linkage of local tourism resources ▲sharing of facilities between cities and counties.
Last year, the province supported 7 projects with 1 billion KRW from the provincial budget. This year, 15 projects were submitted from 13 cities and counties, and were selected through review by the provincial departments in charge and a review committee.
The finally selected projects include ▲infrastructure development for the establishment of the Jinhaeman Integrated Tourism Belt ▲construction of the Jinju-Sacheon metropolitan bicycle road ▲creation of Bulmosan Observatory Rest Area ▲maintenance of the old Samrangjin Bridge bicycle road ▲development of the ultra M.T.B course between Miryang and Yangsan ▲creation of the Hapgang area Nakdong River 3-Color Road ▲creation of the Bujagiwon Sotbawi Park ▲operation of the 'Wetlands and Migratory Birds in Gyeongnam' mobile stamp tour ▲creation of the Changseon-Samcheonpo Bridge road connecting sky, mountain, and sea ▲establishment of the Hwangmaesan Empathy Travel Service ▲exhibition for the Geohamsan Anti-Aging Industry Expo ▲development of the Hapcheon-Changnyeong Ecotourism Brand project.
