Recruiting 222 Workers for 50 Projects from November 16-26... Illegal Advertisement Cleanup, Forest Environment Maintenance, and More from January 11 to June 30, 2021
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Geumcheon-gu (Mayor Yu Seong-hoon) is recruiting a total of 222 participants for the '2021 First Half Seoul Citizens Safe Job Project' from the 16th to the 26th.
The Seoul Safe Job Project is promoted to provide direct jobs to low-income unemployed and vulnerable groups to support their livelihood and help them become self-reliant.
The recruitment fields include ▲Illegal Mobile Advertising Cleanup Project ▲Forest Environment Maintenance Project ▲Anyangcheon Riverside Maintenance Project ▲Recyclable Materials Sorting Project and 50 other projects.
Applicants must be unemployed or daily workers without regular income among Geumcheon-gu residents aged 18 or older, and the combined property of the applicant and their family must be 200 million KRW or less.
Residents wishing to participate can apply by visiting their local community service center in person with identification and related documents. However, recipients of livelihood benefits under the National Basic Livelihood Security Act, unemployment benefit recipients, those who have participated consecutively, those with regular income, and those judged unable to work are excluded from participation.
The final selection will be made by reviewing the applicant's property, income, number of public job participations, and exclusion criteria, and individual notifications will be sent by each project department on January 6, 2021.
Selected workers will work at various locations such as the district office and libraries from January 11 to June 30, 2021. The period and working conditions vary depending on the project.
They will work 5 hours a day, 5 days a week, and receive a daily wage of 49,000 KRW including snack expenses. Participants aged 65 or older will work 3 hours a day, 5 days a week, and receive a daily wage of 32,000 KRW including snack expenses.
Additionally, workers are required to enroll in the four major social insurances, and for safety and health management, they will receive ▲Safety and Labor Education ▲Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Training ▲Sexual Harassment Prevention Education ▲Workplace Bullying Prevention Education ▲Health Checkups.
Yu Seong-hoon, Mayor of Geumcheon-gu, said, "We plan to strengthen employment capabilities by providing quality jobs to more residents as well as employment counseling and vocational training," adding, "We will prepare to revitalize the local economy, which has been stagnant in the post-COVID era, by expanding various jobs in the region as well as public work projects."
