KOTRA Launches 'K-Studio' to Fully Promote Non-Face-to-Face Marketing
[Asia Economy Reporter Kiho Sung] KOTRA announced on the 15th that it has opened the ‘K-Studio’ in the basement level 1 of its headquarters in Yeomgok-dong, Seoul. K-Studio was established as part of the ‘Trade Digital Transformation Measures’ announced at the 3rd Expanded Trade Strategy Coordination Meeting.
K-Studio will be the center for digital trade and online marketing for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and mid-sized companies, engaging in activities such as ▲live commerce broadcasts using influencers ▲online seminars for overseas markets ▲promotion for foreign investment attraction ▲production of product promotional videos ▲product shooting utilizing AR and VR.
On the 13th, the day of the opening ceremony, a pilot project using K-Studio was also conducted. KOTRA held a ‘Premium Live Commerce Broadcast’ targeting American Amazon consumers and hosted a ‘Korea-Japan Smart City Solution Partnering Webinar’ for Japanese buyers and investors.
During the ‘Premium Live Commerce Broadcast,’ beauty influencer Edward Avila and Hyerim, former member of Wonder Girls, communicated with American followers and introduced 24 K-beauty products. Notably, when Prime Minister Chung Sye-kyun and his delegation visited the site during the broadcast, American consumers showed enthusiastic responses online, resulting in the beauty box selling out within one minute.
In the ‘Korea-Japan Smart City Solution Partnering Webinar,’ five domestic innovative companies possessing intelligent smart city solutions pitched their technologies to 30 Japanese buyers and investors, including NEC and NTT.
Meanwhile, K-Studio will open nationwide in cities such as Gwangju and Busan. KOTRA plans to conduct pilot projects that provide digital marketing education to local university students and assist overseas marketing for SMEs and mid-sized companies based in the regions. Centered around K-Studio, KOTRA and local governments will collaborate to expand region-specific services, including foreign investment attraction promotion and pitching.
