By stating the destination station and the number of passengers at the vending machine, the device recognizes the voice and issues the ticket. It can be used not only in Korean but also in English.
In particular, to improve voice recognition accuracy for each language, the machine is equipped with 'Machine Learning' functionality that enables it to perform actions not pre-programmed through learning, featuring AI technology that grows smarter the more it is used.
The voice recognition automatic ticket vending machines have been installed with two units each at Airport Railroad Seoul Station and Incheon Airport Terminal 1 Station. After a five-month pilot operation, they are scheduled to be operated at all 14 stations of the Airport Railroad starting from April next year.
Airport Railroad will hold an event targeting passengers who purchase tickets using the voice recognition automatic vending machines starting at the end of this month.
