According to Gyeongnam Province on the 13th, a British man in his 60s residing in Geoje (Gyeongnam case 376), a woman in her 50s living in Changwon (case 377), a woman in her 30s residing in Sacheon (case 378), and a man in his 20s living in Namhae (case 379) tested positive on the 13th.
The British man in his 60s stayed in the Bahamas and entered Incheon Airport on the 7th, then took a train to Jinju Station. From Jinju Station, he was transported by a 119 ambulance to the Geoje City Public Health Center for testing.
His first test immediately after entry was "inconclusive," and the second test on the 9th was also "inconclusive." On the 12th, the third test confirmed a positive result.
The woman in her 50s from Changwon, case 377, developed fever and cough symptoms on the 11th, and tested positive on the 12th. She had used a sauna on the 1st that was visited by case 345, who was a secondary infection related to a family of five confirmed cases in Changwon.
So far, case 377 has been in contact with two family members, one acquaintance, and six students at the tutoring center she operates. The number of confirmed cases related to the Changwon family has increased to 30.
Case 378 in Sacheon overlapped movements at a restaurant used by case 357, the husband among the elderly couple confirmed in Sacheon.
On the 6th, case 357 was dining at a restaurant operated by case 375, a local infection among the elderly couple confirmed cases, and case 378 was present at the restaurant at that time. The number of confirmed cases related to the Sacheon elderly couple has increased to 16.
Case 379 in Namhae stayed in Canada and entered Incheon Airport on the 11th. On the following day, the 12th, he tested positive for COVID-19. The quarantine authorities are currently tracing the movements and contacts of these confirmed cases.
Accordingly, the cumulative number of confirmed cases in the province has increased to 376. Of these, 313 have been discharged and 63 are currently hospitalized.
