The training, originally scheduled for February, was postponed once due to COVID-19 prevention measures, resulting in newly appointed public officials from both 2019 and 2020 receiving training together.
This training aimed to cultivate basic qualities and improve job performance skills. On the first day, the 12th, general education sessions such as budget practice, accounting practice, and integrity practice were conducted by key practical team leaders as instructors, followed by specialized instructor-led training.
In particular, during the governor's special lecture, a communication forum was held to share remarkable administrative achievements such as the four core development strategic industries, to dream together about Yeongam's future vision, and to pledge to jointly lead Yeongam's new development.
On the second day, the 13th, participants had field experience focusing on representative tourist sites of Yeongam, including a tour of Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries, the heart of Yeongam's regional economy, and the Wangin Park historical site.
In the special lecture, Governor Jeon Dong-pyeong stated, "I expect the 55 new winds to permeate our public service society and become a fresh vitality," emphasizing, "I hope you grow into innovative talents suited for the Fourth Industrial Revolution era and the post-COVID era, acquiring and accumulating diverse information beyond your existing knowledge, developing your abilities, and actively engaging in administration."
He added, "Do not lose your initial resolve and maintain a sense of mission as public officials to become warm servants who serve the residents."
A rookie public official who participated in the training expressed, "I am grateful for this valuable opportunity despite the difficult conditions such as COVID-19 prevention, and I will work even harder for the development of Yeongam-gun and its residents."
