Barefoot Man Jo Seung-hwan Performs 'Climate Crisis, Showing the Tears of Glaciers'
Gwangyang City Ambassador Breaks World Record for 'Standing on Ice for a Long Time' with 2 Hours 35 Minutes
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Hyung-kwon] Cho Seung-hwan, the Barefoot Man and public ambassador of Gwangyang City, announced that he performed the ‘Climate Crisis, Showing the Tears of Glaciers’ performance at this year’s ‘Life Preservation National Movement’ held yesterday at the Saemaeul Movement Central Hall in Bundang-gu, Seongnam City, Gyeonggi Province.
In this performance, hosted by Hong Aeng-ran, spokesperson of the Barefoot Man Corporation, Cho Seung-hwan challenged himself to ‘stand on ice for a long time’ and renewed the world record by surpassing his own record with a time of 2 hours and 35 minutes.
To support this, performances by the Eoullim Art Troupe (Director Song Yoon-ha), Team Action Star, and rappers were held together.
Cho Seung-hwan said, “This performance expressed the melting of the Earth’s glaciers due to global warming as ice melting, and through the pain of my feet breaking, I wanted to convey that the Earth is suffering. I hope this becomes an opportunity for us to realize the seriousness of the problems we face, such as environmental pollution and climate change, and to join forces to overcome them for the next generation.”
