[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Bong-ju] Ko Young-wook, a former member of the group Loolla who wore an electronic ankle bracelet due to charges of sexually assaulting and molesting minors, has announced plans to communicate by opening a social networking service (SNS) account.

He said, "A long time has passed before I could greet you again. I have spent nearly 9 years in isolation, but as long as I am alive, I cannot continue living like this, so now I cautiously want to communicate with the world" and "I will always reflect and strive to become a better person."
Ko Young-wook then posted a second message on SNS. The post included a photo of singer Shin Jung-hwan and his mother taken in 1994. He wrote, "Some people were worried about my mother, so I am posting a photo of my mother in her younger days that Jung-hwan hyung sent recently."
He added, "Although she went through many painful times because of me, fortunately, she is living healthily with her companion dogs. I will gradually share recent photos of my mother in good health as well."
Ko Young-wook, a former member of the popular 1990s group Loolla, was arrested and prosecuted for sexually assaulting and forcibly molesting three minors a total of four times from July 2010 to December last year at his officetel and car in Seoul.
