The Korea Standards Association (President Lee Sang-jin) announced on the 10th that it signed a business agreement with KT to contribute to nurturing future AI talent and creating jobs for youth in the era of the 4th Industrial Revolution.
This agreement was established to cultivate future AI talent and create jobs for young people. It aims to train and certify personnel capable of applying AI to work, thereby leading innovation in other industries. Additionally, through practical AI education, certification, excellent talent recruitment linkage, and the creation of an AI talent development platform, it will proceed in a direction that strengthens AI capabilities across various industries and nurtures talent.
By combining the capabilities of both companies, they plan to cooperate mainly around certification exams and preparatory education classes, registering the 'KT Certification' as a nationally recognized private qualification to enhance execution through a phased approach. The specific areas of cooperation include ▲ educational platform content for establishing a certification exam foundation ▲ establishment and operation of an exam evaluation system to ensure the reliability of certification exams ▲ education, marketing, and promotion to expand certification exams ▲ and other matters deemed necessary to expand certification projects.
As an educational institution, the Standards Association possesses extensive experience and infrastructure in planning and operating qualification exams and education. In particular, it oversees 29 domestic private qualifications and operates 10 international qualifications on consignment. While it has mainly been active in the manufacturing sector, it has recently entered the IT and 4th Industrial Revolution fields, developing various platforms and content.
KT operates the 'AIDU' education platform, which enables the application of various AI technologies and modeling using in-house data, as well as the 'AI Future Talent Development Program,' an educational course where trainees identify AI application tasks needed in the field and solve them through project-based learning. Furthermore, KT has established AI education infrastructure, including internal instructors, coaches, and an in-house certification system to systematically support these efforts.
