Hamyang-gun Extends Emergency Livelihood Support Program Period for At-Risk Households

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Hamyang-gun, Gyeongnam announced on the 9th that it will extend the support for the emergency livelihood support project for households with income below 75% of the median income whose income has decreased and who do not receive benefits from existing welfare systems due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic until the 20th.
The emergency livelihood support targets households whose ▲income has decreased, ▲are below 75% of the standard median income (less than 3,561,881 KRW for a four-person household), and ▲have assets below 300 million KRW low-income households. Support amounts are 400,000 KRW for a single-person household, 600,000 KRW for a two-person household, 800,000 KRW for a three-person household, and 1,000,000 KRW for households of four or more.
The application period has been extended until the 20th, and applications can be submitted at the local town or township office reception desk. The eligibility has been expanded from households with income decreased by 25% or more to crisis households with income reduction, and the application documents have also been simplified.

However, those who are recipients of existing welfare systems such as basic livelihood security livelihood benefits and emergency welfare system, Ministry of Employment and Labor emergency employment stabilization subsidies, Ministry of SMEs and Startups new hope funds for small business owners, closed store re-challenge encouragement funds, worker employment retention subsidies, youth special employment support program participants, job-seeking benefit recipients, and taxi (corporate/individual) drivers are excluded.
