Honam University Women's Bowling Team Achieves First Overall Runner-Up in National Tournament Just 2 Years After Establishment

According to Honam University on the 9th, on the first day of the National Student Bowling Tournament held from the 3rd to the 9th in Iksan City, Jeonbuk Province, Ji Seung-eun from Honam University’s women's bowling team took first place in the individual event, which featured 82 teams, with an average score of 229.5 points, surpassing Kookmin University’s Joo Hye-yeon (2nd place) and Oh Ah-hyun (3rd place).
On the second day, in the doubles event with 38 teams participating, the duo Yoo Soo-eun and Oh Ji-min scored 223.3 points, beating Keimyung Culture University’s Kim Ba-da and Kang Min-kyung (2nd place), and Kyungpook National University’s Kim Yu-mi and Choi Young-joo (3rd place) to claim first place.
Coach Jeong Gyeong-in, who leads the women's bowling team, said, “There were many difficulties in adjusting to competition conditions due to COVID-19, but the university’s active support, such as securing a new training venue before the tournament, helped us perform well. We will continue to work hard to improve our skills.”
