View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Park Cheol-eung] Yang Hyang-ja, a Supreme Council member of the Democratic Party of Korea, strongly criticized Prosecutor General Yoon Seok-yeol, saying, "Take off your prosecutor's uniform and gain political speaking rights."
On the 9th, Yang posted on Facebook an article titled "The essence of the nuclear power plant investigation is the policy intervention of Yoon Seok-yeol's prosecution." She said, "There was much anguish last weekend because of Yoon Seok-yeol prosecution's nuclear power plant investigation," adding, "This investigation is both a political investigation and a commissioned investigation. But the real essence is the prosecution's policy intervention."
Yang stated, "The arrogance of Yoon Seok-yeol's prosecution, who intends to arbitrarily handle national policies that have obtained the people's consent, is the essence of this investigation. I feel not only anger but also fear at this unprecedented policy intervention by the prosecution." She also said, "Seeing the elected power's national policies being trampled by the unelected prosecutorial power was chilling."
She continued, "Whether it is welfare policy or economic policy, any policy not approved by the prosecution can become a subject of investigation at any time. In the future, will the prosecution's permission be required even for the major shareholder 300 million won rule, the three fair economy laws, and the Korean New Deal?" she criticized.
She viewed that the prosecution had already overstepped its bounds in national affairs since last year. Yang said, "The Ministry of Justice Minister was directly denied the president's personnel authority simply because he was disliked. The core of the Cho Kuk incident was the intervention in personnel authority by labeling him as unfit even before the confirmation hearing began." She added, "Presuming guilt and creating crimes through all-out raids was the way Yoon Seok-yeol's prosecution intervened in national affairs. The way the investigation of former Minister Cho Kuk was conducted is the same as the flow of the newly started nuclear power plant investigation."

She further stated, "Investigations are being repeated where if the prosecution is displeased, it is guilt, and if the prosecution permits, it is innocence," and emphasized, "If you dislike the personnel or cannot agree with national policies, take off your prosecutor's uniform and gain political speaking rights. I hope the ultra-constitutional idea of controlling national affairs through prosecutorial investigative powers stops immediately. Government personnel and national policies are decided by the people, not the prosecution."
