[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Ju-hyung] Kim Hyun-mi, Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, expressed a cautious view on applying the rent ceiling system not only to lease contract renewals but also to new contracts, stating that "there are many points to consider" and that a careful approach is necessary.
On the 6th, during the National Assembly Land, Infrastructure and Transport Committee budget review, Minister Kim said, "When the three lease laws were introduced earlier, there was much discussion, but applying the rent ceiling system to new contracts was not reflected due to many considerations, and this remains unchanged."
