Korea Fashion Industry Institute Organizes 'Daegu International Fashion Culture Festival' as an Online Event

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Dong-wook] The Korea Fashion Industry Institute announced on the 6th that the "7th Daegu International Fashion Culture Festival" (hereinafter referred to as DIFA-CUL) will be held as a non-face-to-face online festival from the 23rd to the 29th.
The "DIFA-CUL Online Festival" consists of fashion shows by seven fashion designers based in Daegu, e-commerce events, online showroom introductions, a fashion delivery bus (PABU), and various fashion programs to enjoy at home.
The opening ceremony will begin at 6:30 PM on the first day at the DIFA-CUL Open Studio with a showroom exhibition by Daegu-born fashion designer Doii and a fashion show by CAHIERS, a designer from CDS (Creative Design Studio).
This year's festival is described by the organizers as an online festival where anyone can participate and enjoy together through various online channels (DIFA-CUL website, YouTube, Instagram, etc.), capturing the excitement of fashion shows and the simultaneity of e-commerce to overcome the gloom of COVID-19 blues.
A representative from the Fashion Industry Institute stated, "The online fashion show was filmed at famous tourist spots and cultural spaces in Daegu to embody the cultural value of the textile fashion city, which was the center of modern culture and the driving force of our country's industry."
