Daegu Bank Awards Customer Idea Contest... AI Product Subscription Proposal Wins Grand Prize
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Min-young] DGB Daegu Bank held an awards ceremony for the ‘2020 Financial Consumer Protection Customer Idea’ contest.
This contest was conducted over two months starting from last August, inviting ideas from all customers. Various opinions were presented on areas deemed necessary for development and improvement from the perspective of financial consumer protection, as well as measures to prevent telecommunication financial fraud.
Six outstanding ideas were selected, with the first-place grand prize awarded to customer Kim Eun-jung for her submission titled ‘AI Product Subscription Proposal for Demand Deposit Surplus Funds.’ This proposal involved AI analyzing deposits that the account holder can frequently withdraw and deposit, recommending suitable investment methods. It received high marks as a practical, life-oriented idea based on the customer’s direct experience.
Other selected ideas included improvements in CD machine usage methods, enhancement of in-branch receipt writing services, and provision of financial crime prevention video services.
