Yoon Hee-sook: "The Blue House Calls the Public 'Murderers' for Not Supporting Them"
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Ji-eun] Yoon Hee-sook, a member of the People Power Party, criticized No Young-min, Chief of Staff at the Blue House, for calling participants of the Gwanghwamun rally "murderers," saying, "The Blue House calls the people murderers if they are not their supporters."
On the 5th, Yoon said on Facebook, "Although the rally was subject to criticism for non-cooperation with the national quarantine policy, labeling our people as 'murderers' shows how thoroughly the Blue House distinguishes the people as 'our side and the enemy.'"
She cited the British current affairs weekly The Economist’s endorsement of Joe Biden due to President Trump's divisive actions, stating, "While no politician can be free from factional logic, no one can disagree that once someone becomes the head of state, they must embrace all citizens nationwide. However, President Trump's consistent behavior was 'I do not represent those who do not vote for me.' Such behavior by the president publicly encourages the people to be hostile and hateful toward each other through state power," indirectly criticizing the Blue House.

Yoon added, "What is more concerning is that they are so confident in their power base that they do not even feel the need to pretend to represent all citizens, and they use dividing the people and leading vile finger-pointing as a core means to consolidate their power," and said, "The result of the chaotic struggle is that the American people chose Biden. I hope this signals the end of the populist era that uses division and anger, rather than hope and unity, as the energy of politics."
