Hampyeong-gun Welfare Task Force Leads Efforts to Improve Living Conditions for Vulnerable Housing Groups
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Yoon Jamin] The Welfare Task Force of Wolya-myeon, Hampyeong-gun (Captain Jeong Jeong-o) has taken the lead in improving the living inconveniences of vulnerable groups.
According to Hampyeong-gun on the 4th, about 10 members of the Welfare Task Force visited eight households of disabled and elderly living alone with poor housing conditions, repairing old boilers and replacing existing lights with LEDs.
In particular, stairs were installed at the existing entrance, which had a steep slope and a high risk of falls, to prevent safety accidents in advance before the full winter season.
The ‘Hampyeong-gun Our Neighborhood Welfare Task Force,’ consisting of a total of 77 members across nine towns and townships in the region, is a public-private cooperative volunteer group organized to alleviate the living inconveniences of low-income vulnerable groups.
