LGU+ to Draw 5,000 Preferred Numbers Including 1004
[Asia Economy Reporter Koo Chae-eun] LG Uplus will begin the 2020 second half customer-preferred number lottery starting November 16.
Since 2006, LG Uplus has been providing phone numbers that have special meanings or are easy to remember and highly preferred by many customers through a lottery held twice a year. The types of phone numbers available for application in this lottery include ▲AAAA ▲000A ▲00AA ▲AA00 ▲ABAB ▲A000 ▲ABCD ▲ABCD-ABCD where the area code and the last digits are the same ▲numbers with specific meanings such as '1004', totaling 5,000 numbers.
In the first half lottery held in May, the most popular type was the last four digits ‘AAAA’, with a competition rate reaching 406.4 to 1, showing great popularity. Customers who wish to receive a preferred number can visit offline stores or apply by filling out the application form following the instructions under the Customer Support menu on the LG Uplus website, ‘Usage Guide - Product Subscription Guide - Area Code Management - Preferred Number Application and Winning Confirmation’ from the 16th to the 29th to enter the lottery.
