Gangbuk-gu, Online Public Contest for Collaborative Governance Agenda Proposals
Call for Proposals on Local Issues and Solutions Solvable by Cooperation by March 31 Next Year... After Review, Voting at Residents' Grand Forum, Final Agenda for 2022 Community Innovation Plan Establishment
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Gangbuk-gu (Mayor Park Gyeom-su) is starting an online public contest for cooperative governance agenda proposals until March 31 next year to guarantee residents' opportunities to participate in district administration and to discover a wide range of local issues.
Any resident of Gangbuk-gu can apply. The fields cover all areas of district administration, including resident autonomy, local economy, urban regeneration, living environment, health and welfare, education, women and childcare, culture and tourism, youth, transportation, construction safety, etc. Among these, applicants should propose local issues that can be resolved through public-private cooperation and suggest solutions.
If you wish to participate, you can register the application form on the Gangbuk-gu Office website or on the ‘Agenda Proposal’ board of the Gangbuk Cooperative Governance Cafe, or submit it via email (ksy63178@gangbuk.go.kr). The application form can be downloaded from the district office website.
Afterwards, the Cooperative Governance Council’s steering committee, subcommittees, and agenda-related departments will deliberate and review the submitted proposals. Selected qualified agendas will be reflected in the 2022 Community Innovation Plan through voting at online and offline large-scale resident forums.
In June to July 2021, the district plans to select the final agendas at online and offline large-scale resident forums and simultaneously recruit participants for working groups to implement the selected proposals.
Mayor Park Gyeom-su of Gangbuk-gu said, “The proposed agendas are important issues that residents truly need and are closely related to their lives. We will do our best to develop the valuable opinions given by residents into policies.”
