Gwangsan-gu, Gwangju Selected for 'Technology-Infused Cultural Arts Education Online Content' Contest
Secured 80 Million Won in National Funding
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Gwangsan-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City (District Mayor Kim Samho) announced on the 2nd that it has been selected for the Korea Culture and Arts Centers Association's public project "Culture and Arts Education with Technology_Online Content." With this, Gwangsan-gu secured 80 million KRW in national funding.
This public project selects organizations and cultural centers that develop and operate art and technology convergence online educational content in preparation for the post-COVID-19 era.
The district was the only one in Gwangju and Jeonnam to be selected for this project with the content "Welcome to VR for the First Time," which allows teenagers to learn the musical production process at home through online education and art packages.
Following the selection, Gwangsan-gu will develop a cultural arts education course over six weeks and recruit about 15 first-year middle and high school students for 10 weeks of education.
