KB Kookmin Bank Livem Launches Financial and Telecommunications Bundled Product
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Sunmi]KB Kookmin Bank announced on the 2nd that it will launch 'The(The) Giving Livem Savings' and 'The(The) Giving LTE Plan,' which combine finance and telecommunications to provide benefits.
The Livem Savings subscription is available to individuals aged 19 and older, with two subscription periods: 1 year and 2 years. The new subscription amount ranges from 100,000 KRW to 1,000,000 KRW in units of 1 KRW, and the same amount must be paid on the agreed date each month.
The basic interest rate is 0.9% per annum for 1 year and 1.0% per annum for 2 years. Preferential interest rates apply as follows: 0.2 percentage points per annum if subscribed to Livem until the end of the month following the month of new savings subscription, and 0.3 percentage points per annum if a bank account from another bank is registered with KB Open Banking. This results in a maximum of 1.4% per annum for 1 year and 1.5% per annum for 2 years.
The basic monthly fees for the LTE plans are as follows: ▲1GB (200 minutes voice/100 texts/1GB data) at 10,000 KRW ▲4GB (200 minutes voice/100 texts/4GB data) at 15,000 KRW ▲15GB+ (100 minutes voice/100 texts/15GB+ data with unlimited usage at 3Mbps speed) at 28,500 KRW, consisting of three types.
Customers who subscribe to Livem Savings and activate the LTE plan by the following month and maintain the plan until the savings maturity can receive bonus benefits. For a 1-year savings subscription, a total of 62,000 KRW is paid at maturity, including a monthly 5,000 KRW bonus for 12 months and a 2,000 KRW maturity congratulatory bonus. For a 2-year savings subscription, a total of 196,000 KRW is paid at maturity, including a monthly 8,000 KRW bonus for 24 months and a 4,000 KRW maturity congratulatory bonus, along with the principal and interest.
To commemorate the launch of this plan, customers who complete savings subscription and plan activation by the end of December will participate in the 'Year of the Ox Communication Fee 0 KRW Challenge' event, receiving a 2,000 KRW monthly discount on the basic communication fee for one year. By subscribing to the 2-year Livem Savings and LTE 1GB plan, the actual communication fee will be zero for one year. Additionally, customers who complete savings subscription and plan activation by the end of November will receive 30,000 Livemate points.
