View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunju Lee] As cold air from the northwest moves southward, temperatures dropped sharply on the morning of the 2nd, especially in the central inland areas.
According to the Korea Meteorological Administration, the minimum temperatures that morning were 7.9°C in Seoul, 9.0°C in Incheon, and 8.8°C in Daejeon, about 5 degrees lower than the previous morning. Tomorrow morning (the 3rd) will be colder than today. Most of the country will experience temperatures around 5°C. On the morning of the 4th, most regions are expected to record temperatures below 0°C. The KMA forecasted morning temperatures of -1°C in Seoul, -2°C in Suwon, and 0°C in Daejeon.

From tonight (the 2nd) until early tomorrow morning, rain is expected in the southern Gyeonggi region, Chungcheong, Jeonbuk, and the western coastal areas of Jeonnam, while temperatures in the central region and the mountainous areas of Jeolla Province will drop below freezing, causing snow flurries in some places. In these areas, temperatures falling below 0°C may cause rain to freeze, making roads slippery. The cold will briefly ease on the morning of the 5th, but with rain expected, cold weather is forecast to continue through the weekend.
