Side Dishes Changing by Day of the Week... Seven Eleven's 'Soomine Today's Dosirak'
[Asia Economy Reporter Seungjin Lee] Seven Eleven and actress Kim Sumi have joined forces.
Seven Eleven announced on the 2nd that it will launch ‘Sumine Today’s Dosirak,’ a lunchbox with different side dish compositions depending on the day of the week, in collaboration with Seven Eleven’s ‘Taste’ ambassador Kim Sumi.
‘Sumine Today’s Dosirak (5,000 won)’ is a product where the main side dish changes according to three weekday themes: Monday-Tuesday, Wednesday-Thursday, and Friday-Saturday-Sunday, created for consumers who often struggle to decide on meal menus. The lunchbox is generously packed with a total of 11 popular side dishes from Kim Sumi’s recipes, with four main dishes changing daily. The three concepts by day are ‘Healthy (Mon-Tue),’ ‘Hearty (Wed-Thu),’ and ‘Spicy (Fri-Sat-Sun).’
First, on Monday and Tuesday, to start the week lightly and healthily, the lunchbox includes protein-rich braised tofu, samchae meatball stir-fry made with healthy vegetable samchae, and grilled pork belly. On Wednesday and Thursday, it contains smoked duck, seasoned grilled pork, and pumpkin cheese gratin to help replenish energy.
On Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, the main dishes are spicy foods designed to relieve the accumulated weekday stress. The main dishes include spicy stir-fried octopus, gochujang bulgogi, and spicy seasoned chicken.
Seven Eleven is expanding the convenience store ready-meal market by operating a total of seven Sumine ready-meal series, including ‘Sumine Hearty Dosirak’ and ‘Sumine Aged Kimchi Cream Pasta.’ Kim Sumi participates in the development and launch process of ready meals containing her recipes in collaboration with Seven Eleven, and she also plays a role in taste evaluation and consultation.
Until the end of this month, Seven Eleven offers a 30% discount on ‘Sumine Today’s Dosirak’ when paid with Woori Card or Nonghyup Card, and a 30% billing discount benefit when paid with BC Paybook.
