Recruitment of Students for Suncheon Citizen University Regional Specialized Course 'Suncheon Ecology'

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Hyung-kwon] Suncheon City (Mayor Heo Seok) is recruiting trainees to participate in the exploratory citizen education program "Suncheon Ecology," aimed at fostering citizens' ecological sensitivity through the coexistence of nature and humans in Suncheon's ecosystem.
The exploratory citizen education program "Suncheon Ecology" is a practice-oriented education combining theoretical education and exploration programs that recognize the academic, ecological, and cultural value of resources befitting Suncheon’s brand as a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve City.
Any citizen who wants to experience the natural environment of the ecological capital Suncheon or is interested in ecology and the environment can apply via email or phone from the 29th until the 3rd of next month, for a period of six days.
Thirty trainees will be finally selected, and from the 6th of next month until December 4th, Fridays will be dedicated to theoretical education, and Sundays to on-site exploratory education. On the last day, December 7th, a completion ceremony will be held where trainees present works by producing videos from photos taken on-site.
A Suncheon City official said, "We expect this to be an opportunity to foster pride as citizens of Suncheon, the ecological capital of Korea, and to cultivate ecological sensitivity by exploring the ecological sites of our region, Suncheon."
