On the 27th (local time), according to NBC News, a warning message stating "This site has been seized" was posted on the Trump re-election campaign website (www.donaldjtrump.com) in the evening.
The hacker also claimed in the warning message that "fake news is being spread daily worldwide by President Donald Trump" and demanded, "We have obtained multiple devices containing secret conversations between President Trump and his family. If you do not want them to be disclosed, you must pay cryptocurrency."
