Seodaemun-gu Operates Natural Chunghyun Urban Regeneration Village Guided Tour
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Seodaemun-gu (Mayor Moon Seok-jin) announced on the 26th that it recently launched the Cheonyeonchunhyeon Urban Regeneration Village Tour Program titled "Exploring Cheonyeonchunhyeon Village, the Old Days in the Heart of Seoul Where Time Layers Over Time."
The course starts from Exit 2 of Seodaemun Station, passes through the alleys of Cheonyeon-dong and Chunghyeon-dong, and continues to the Independence Gate Cultural Park. Four guides, composed of local residents, share interesting and diverse stories embedded in the village.
Participants walk for about two hours, exploring urban regeneration project sites such as the former Daedong Munhwasa, which has been transformed into a cultural platform utilizing idle spaces, as well as the site of the Gyeonggi Junggun Camp, Yeongcheon Market, and various hidden historical and cultural sites throughout the neighborhood.
One participant who completed the village tour said, "I applied out of curiosity since I recently moved to this neighborhood, and it was a valuable time to learn about many places in the village."

The program operates every Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon. Interested participants can apply on the ‘Seoul Public Service Reservation’ website by selecting ‘Seodaemun-gu’ as the desired area and ‘Education’ as the category. Up to 10 people can register per session on a first-come, first-served basis.
