Gwangju Seo-gu Nongsung 1-dong, Promotion of Non-Face-to-Face Residents' General Assembly
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Nongsung 1-dong in Seo-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City (District Mayor Seo Daeseok) is promoting a non-face-to-face residents' general meeting using QR codes in line with the With Corona era.
According to Seo-gu on the 26th, this non-face-to-face residents' general meeting in Nongsung 1-dong was prepared to collect various opinions from residents non-face-to-face, considering the difficulty for many residents to gather due to COVID-19.
For the residents' general meeting, Nongsung 1-dong conducted a resident survey to discover village agendas through online and offline methods for three months since June, jointly with the Gwangju Jeonnam Research Institute and the Gwangju Sustainable Development Council.
Based on this, through public discussion and deliberation processes, five village agendas were discovered: ▲ Improvement of Sangnok Park environment ▲ Eradication of illegal garbage dumping ▲ Communication spaces such as village gardens, shared markets, and village festivals ▲ Creation of village community spaces ▲ Establishment of resident health programs.
The discovered agendas will have their final ranking decided through a residents' vote starting on the 28th for nine days.
Residents can participate in the vote online using QR codes and offline through bulletin boards and voting stickers placed in multi-use facilities such as the community service center, financial institutions, senior centers, and apartment complexes.
The village agendas finally selected through the voting results will be produced as videos with village stories and shared with residents via YouTube and various SNS media.
