Mokpo City Children's Meal Management Support Center Conducts 'Non-face-to-face Parent On-site Observation Program'
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Seo Young-seo] The Mokpo City Child Meal Management Support Center (Director Jeong Hyun-young, Professor of Food and Nutrition), operated under consignment by the National Mokpo University (President Park Min-seo), announced on the 26th that it conducted a non-face-to-face parent on-site observation program for parents of registered facility cafeterias on the 22nd due to difficulties in face-to-face education caused by COVID-19.
The parent on-site observation program was conducted by receiving prior applications from 13 registered child meal facilities, with 135 parents participating in the online program. Through videos, participants were educated on the necessity of the Mokpo City Child Meal Management Support Center, guidance on child meal support projects, on-site visit supervision, education by target group, and hygienic management of meal distribution. Parents then sent certification photos back to the center’s email to confirm participation.
After confirming participation, educational materials including mushroom growing kits, food poisoning prevention and safety management, and proper meal guidance methods were distributed.
